The farm’s name, “Las Brumas,” translates to “The Mists,” aptly describing the persistent fog that envelops the area for much of the year. This unique microclimate is a result of the interaction between warm Pacific air and the towering peaks of the Santa Ana, Cerro Verde, and Izalco volcanoes. The misty conditions reduce sunlight exposure, leading to a slower and more uniform ripening process for the coffee cherries—a crucial factor in developing the complex flavors characteristic of Las Brumas coffee .
